As one of the stakeholders involved through SERDA’s activities within the Danube DNA project, the Galeyo team attended the final Danube DNA project event, held on May 13, 2026, in Budapest.

The Danube DNA project, co-funded through the Interreg Danube Region Programme, brought together partners from 12 countries with the goal of supporting the digital transformation of SMEs across the Danube region.

About the Danube DNA project

Over the past two and a half years, the project focused on:

  • developing practical technological solutions
  • organizing pilot activities
  • establishing knowledge transfer centers
  • supporting Industry 4.0 and Logistics 4.0 initiatives

As a project partner, SERDA actively participated in project implementation while also enabling companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina to take part in this regional event.

What we had the opportunity to see

The conference gathered companies, development agencies, research organizations, and technology partners from across the region.

One of the key focuses of the event was the presentation of six digital solutions developed specifically for SMEs. Most of the tools presented are currently available free of charge.

In addition to the platform presentations, the event created space for:

  • exploring the Danube DNA digital transformation network
  • accessing the Danube DNA digital platform
  • reviewing pilot activities from different countries
  • exchanging experiences with regional experts and companies
  • networking around industry, energy, and digitalization challenges

What stood out most was the practical approach behind the solutions and their focus on real SME needs, from funding support to energy monitoring and digital readiness assessment.

Platforms presented at the event

Market Pulse

Market Pulse is an AI-powered platform focused on market analysis and demand forecasting.

The platform helps companies better understand:

  • market trends
  • customer behavior
  • potential demand shifts

It is especially useful for SMEs that often lack access to advanced market intelligence tools.

The solution also supports:

  • production planning
  • inventory optimization
  • data-driven decision-making
  • investment risk reduction
WeldWise

WeldWise focuses on smart energy and production monitoring for industrial machines.

The platform enables:

  • real-time production monitoring
  • energy consumption tracking
  • identification of inefficiencies
  • improved visibility into machine performance

One statement from the presentation captured the platform’s purpose clearly:

“The gap is not production. The gap is visibility.”

Invest Planner

Invest Planner was developed for startups, SMEs, research organizations, and consulting firms working on product or project development.

The platform combines:

  • business modeling
  • AI-assisted content generation
  • KPI analysis
  • investment feasibility assessment
  • automated report generation

Its goal is to simplify investment planning and improve communication with investors and partners.

AI-Powered Funding Call Matcher

One of the most practical solutions presented was the AI-powered funding call matcher designed to help companies identify relevant grants and funding opportunities.

The platform allows filtering by:

  • industry
  • budget
  • deadlines
  • organization type
  • funding call status

The tool is also connected with:

  • B2GreenHub resources
  • a funding help center
  • AI tools for project application support
DANUBE DRA

DANUBE DRA is a digital readiness assessment tool for companies.

Through structured questionnaires and analysis, companies receive insights into:

  • current digitalization levels
  • key risks
  • improvement opportunities
  • recommendations for future development

The presentation also emphasized how strongly AI analysis depends on the quality of input data.

EM4 System Condition

EM4 System Condition focuses on wireless energy and system condition monitoring.

The platform supports:

  • energy consumption measurement
  • real-time system monitoring
  • retrofit integration into existing systems
  • monitoring of heating, cooling, and production processes

A pilot project from Austria demonstrated how the system was used for monitoring welding processes and analyzing energy consumption in production environments.

Online trainings and resources

In addition to the platforms themselves, Danube DNA partners also developed online training materials focused on:

  • digital transformation
  • AI tools
  • Industry 4.0 knowledge
  • practical SME education

Conclusion

The event provided a valuable overview of how AI and digital transformation initiatives are becoming increasingly practical and accessible for SMEs.

Solutions focused on funding opportunities, market analytics, and digital readiness assessment stood out as particularly relevant for companies currently navigating digital transformation challenges.

The conference also opened space for new regional connections and future collaborations in the areas of technology, industry, and sustainability.
