Challenge

Buildings are responsible for 40% of energy consumption and 36% of greenhouse gas emissions, yet more than 90% of buildings are not digitalized. Without digital data, renovation, maintenance, and sustainability planning remain inefficient and costly.

As the demand for BIM (Building Information Modeling) digitization grew, Bimify saw an opportunity to create a global solution to digitise buildings at scale using automation.

The challenge was clear:

  • Convert complex building data into usable BIM models.
  • Make the process fast, cost-effective, and scalable.
  • Enable architects, engineers, and building owners to easily create, access, update, and share digital building models.

Solution

Galeyo worked with Bimify to design and build a custom digital platform that simplifies the entire BIM digitization process.


Our contribution included:

  • Developing a scalable web application powered by React and Node.js.
  • Creating a robust backend with PostgreSQL to handle diverse input data (CAD, point cloud, PDF, images).
  • Building features for multiple output formats (Revit, ArchiCAD, IFC) and custom exports for facility management systems.
  • Designing tools for ongoing access, sharing, and updates, ensuring BIM models stay accurate over time.
  • Building a clear order progress overview for clients, showing real-time status and delivery dates.
  • Integrating an instant cost calculator, giving customers immediate price estimates per project.
  • Introducing a ticketing system to streamline communication, enabling users to report missing files, delays, or adjustments directly through the platform.
  • Developing an AI-powered search assistant for navigating and querying 3D building models (currently in the final stages of development).
  • Creating a tool for correction and manual annotation of objects (walls, doors, windows, etc.) on drawings where they are not clearly visible.
  • Building automated CAD symbol detection services that convert CAD drawings into BIM models.
  • Covering the entire delivery pipeline, including development, QA, and CI/CD deployment processes.

By automating what used to be slow and manual, Bimify made it possible to digitalize buildings faster, cheaper, and with assured quality.
